OUR HISTORY

COTL Open its doors in September of 2002 in the living room of Pastor Rush apt teaching Bible study on Tuesday evenings with a handful of people which grew to about 30 people quickly Moved to my home 2yrs later in 2004  Canarsie and occupied the Cellar where COTL Ministry 1 was birthed and 3years later in Trinidad & Tobago 2007 COTL 2 was birthed. Super Storm Sandy in November 2012 destroyed the Church and we suffered tremendous loses.

 

Having no where to go and Church doors Closed. We were able to conduct Service on a Conference line Call that we had secure years before. We moved around a couple of times, we suffered membership lost. But God was always faithful to us for we did not give up on Him nor He hadn't give up on us. The Food Pantry started from a Cup of Soup .after the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy traveling thru my community with a pot of soup the residents drank soup and spoke of their dilemma .A food pantry started outside my home every Friday we would give out food under a tent to about a 100 families. City Harvest heard our Story and developed a Partnership with us. Currently we are serving 50,000 families per month.
 

A Verse of Scripture we use is Ephesians Chapter 5 verse 8 read For at one time you were darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of Light.
